Crème Brûlée

Searching for something extra special for your date night? Nothing quite fits the bill like Crème Brûlée! So nourishing and yummy!!
- Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. heavy raw cream
- 1/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 t. salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 t. vanilla
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Combine the cream, maple syrup, and salt in a small pan.
- Heat until it comes to a simmer and turn off heat.
- Whisk together the egg yolks and vanilla.
- Temper the egg yolks by adding the hot cream mixture in a few tablespoons at a time.
- Pour into 4 ramekins. (Small mason jars work well if you don't have ramekins)
- Place ramekins in a baking dish and carefully pour hot water around them to halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly, 45-50 minutes.
- Remove the ramekins from the water and cool to room temperature.
- Sprinkle with sucanat, or your sugar of choice.
- Broil until sugar has melted. Watch carefully! You don't want them to burn!
- Refrigerate until chilled.
- Enjoy your delectable dessert!
