About Us

At Covenant Pastures, we are a first-generation small family-owned farm in Cylinder, IA. Our goal is to provide nutrient-rich food raised with nature, not against it.  God designed animals in specific ways to interact with nature.

Why "Covenant Pastures"? We endeavor to raise animals on pasture as much as the weather allows for their overall health and benefit.  A covenant is a binding agreement between 2 parties, generally between a greater and lesser party.  God's desire was always to have a covenant-people who were intentionally trying to follow His commandments and precepts.  Throughout time, mankind has not done well at keeping their side of the covenant with God.

As Christians, we have made a covenant with God to follow Him in His Kingdom, as spelled out in the New Testament.  Through our lives, we are endeavoring to apply these principles.  Through repentance and conversion, we have been made alive again (reborn) by the Spirit of God abiding in our heart and lives.  Our covenant with Christ directs every aspect of our life.  Living with Christ in this way brings peace, hope, and joy to our lives.  If you do not have this peace, hope, and joy in your life, Christ wants you to come to him in repentance, put away sin in your life, and follow Him in His Kingdom.
